Independent advisory

A clearer growth plan for your e-commerce brand.

I help e-commerce founders and teams improve the shopping journey, strengthen retention, and choose technology that supports growth, including practical uses of AI and automation.

Co-founder of Domestique. Experience at Shopify, Klaviyo, and Chatsi.

How I can help

Focused reviews that turn business questions into clear priorities and practical next steps.

Best suited to founders and teams with someone in place to execute, who want an independent perspective on what to prioritize.

Engagements focus on strategy and recommendations. Implementation stays with your team or agency, with scope agreed before work begins.

Know what to do next, and why.

The person behind Groundwork

I’m Zach, the independent advisor behind Groundwork. I co-founded Domestique, a marketing agency supporting e-commerce brands across acquisition, email, SMS, and SEO. My work included campaigns, client acquisition, onboarding, and growth strategy.

Alongside that agency experience, I’ve worked in sales at Shopify and Klaviyo and now lead sales at Chatsi, an AI sales-agent platform. Those roles have involved understanding business needs and helping teams evaluate commerce, marketing, and AI technology.

I bring that combination of agency experience and platform knowledge to help brands evaluate their options and decide what to do next.

Start with a focused advisory review

We agree on the business question, the scope, and what you’ll receive before work begins.

  1. Define the focus

We discuss your goals, challenges, and the decision you want help making, then agree on scope and deliverables.

  2. Review what matters

I review the relevant information you share, such as performance reports, your shopping journey, lifecycle programs, or technology stack.

  3. Set priorities

You receive a written review and prioritized recommendations, followed by a walkthrough of the findings and next steps.

Let’s talk about what’s next for your brand.

Tell me what you’re working on and where you could use an outside perspective. We’ll discuss whether a focused review is a good fit.
